54-year-old male victim shot and killed in Chicago, Illinois On the 11200 block of S. Vernon Avenue. 54-year-old male victim was on the sidewalk when he sustained a gunshot wound to the head by an unknown suspect. The victim was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Two people shot in Chicago, Illinois on the 6700 block of S. Jeffrey Blvd, the two victims were standing in a gas station when an occupant in a dark-colored sedan fired shots. A 24-year-old male was transported to the hospital in critical condition with gunshot wounds to the head and a 35-year-old male was transported to the hospital in fair condition with a gunshot wound to the buttocks. There is no one in custody. Several shell casings were discovered and evidence markers were placed at the scene.

Male dead after female fatally stabs him following a verbal altercation that became physical in Chicago, Illinois on May 1, 2024. In the 0-100 block of N. Lotus at approximately 10:29 p.m. Wednesday evening, a male and female were in a verbal altercation that became physical in the apartment. The male put both hands around the female’s neck and she then took possession of a knife and stabbed the male on the right side of the neck. The suspect then fled the apartment and was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The female was transported to a local hospital for bruising to the face and body. Police are investigating the incident.

15-year-old boy injured in a shooting in Chicago, Illinois on May 1, 2024. In the 6500 block of S. Racine at approximately 7:06 p.m., Wednesday evening a 15-year-old male victim was in a park and involved in a verbal altercation with an unknown suspect. The suspect produced a firearm and fired shots at the victim, striking him in the left leg. The victim was transported to the hospital in good condition. Police are investigating the shooting.
