Evanston PD responded to a shooting in the area of Darrow and Emerson. There are no reported injuries at this time. The offenders fled prior to police arrival and officers have searched and secured the area
1 year agoAt approximately 10am, the DesPlaines Police and Fire Department responded to Maine West High School for a report of an active shooter. The situation was deemed FALSE, while students fled the building in panic.

1 year agoAuthorities trying to figure out cause for intense overnight fire in Washington Park. Flames destroyed 2 vacant houses/damaged 3rd occupied home on Portland Place. 3 ppl inside damaged home all escaped. No serious injuries reported; 1 firefighter treated for heat exhaustion
