2 year agoSome progress on the Southbound Tri-State after a fatal crash that happened just after 6am. All SB lanes are still blocked at Willow Rd, but police have finished investigating. Heavy wreckers & tow trucks are working to clear the lanes & reopen them now

2 year agoHainesville: a crash between @metraMDN train and a truck has killed one person (Truck Driver). Train has also derailed and @metraMDN is not operating north of Grayslake. Hainesville Rd is closed south of RT 120.

2 year agoHainesville - fatal crash involving a Metra train & a truck at Antioch St just south of Belvidere Rd. The first car on the train derailed. Truck cab was completely destroyed. The truck driver did not survive.
2 year agoMETRA engineering personnel examine the derailed end of the cab car on MD-N train 2116 after it hit a truck on the rural Hainesville Road crossing south of Route 120. One passenger was hurt & the truck driver died at the scene.
Bail was denied Sunday for a man who was shot after allegedly aiming a handgun at security guards at Millennium Park three days ago
Metra MD-N train derails after hitting dump truck in Grayslake
2 year agoA 5 axle dump truck lies alongside the tracks after being hit by IB METRA Milwaukee District North Line train 2116 in Grayslake. No word on the driver, however, the truck was obliterated and the cab car of the train derailed.
