At approximately 9:19 p.m. Wednesday evening, a 19-year-old male and a 21-year-old female were driving northbound in an SUV on the 1000 block of N. Lake Shore Drive when a light colored sedan pulled up next to them and a suspect fired gunshots from the vehicle striking the victims. The suspects proceeded to flee the scene. The 19-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound to the head and is in critical condition. The 21-year-old female sustained a gunshot wound to the left calf and is in fair condition. There is no one in custody.

Two people shot, one critically wounded in a shooting on the 7800 block of S. Colfax Avenue in Chicago, Illinois on August 21, 2024. At approximately 8:24 p.m., Wednesday evening, a 20-year-old male was standing outside when several unknown suspects approached armed with handguns demanding his property, the suspects fired shots striking the victim in the right leg. The suspects proceeded to take the victim’s property and flee the scene. The 20-year-old is in stable condition. An additional call then came out of a person shot in the area. A 35-year-old male sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body, and is in critical condition. There is no one in custody.
