29-year-old man killed on the 1300 block of E. 53rd Street in Chicago, Illinois on August 22, 2024. At approximately 4:20 p.m., Thursday afternoon a 29-year-old male victim was standing outside when he was involved in a verbal altercation with an unknown male suspect. The suspect displayed a firearm and fired a gunshot in the victim’s direction and fled in an unknown direction. The victim sustained one gunshot wound to the neck and was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. There is no suspect in custody.

Lake Shore Drive when a light colored sedan pulled up next to them and a suspect fired gunshots from the vehicle striking the victims. The suspects proceeded to flee the scene. The 19-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound to the head and is in critical condition. The 21-year-old female sustained a gunshot wound to the left calf and is in fair condition. There is no one in custody.

The suspects proceeded to take the victim’s property and flee the scene. The 20-year-old is in stable condition. An additional call then came out of a person shot in the area. A 35-year-old male sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body, and is in critical condition. There is no one in custody.
