SHOOTING INVESTIGATION: Two adult males were shot in the 4500 block of Governor's Drive and transported to local hospitals for serious injuries.

One teenager is dead and another teenager is injured after both teens were shot at while on a porch in Chicago, Illinois on August 17, 2024. At approximately 9:20 p.m., Saturday evening on the 6700 block of S. Loomis Blvd, a 17-year-old male and a 16-year-old male were on a porch when an unidentified suspect(s) approached and fired gunshots before fleeing. The 17-year-old sustained a gunshot wound to the stomach and back, he was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The 16-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound to the chest, was treated on scene and transported to the hospital in good condition. There are no suspects in custody.

Man faces murder charges in Washington Park fatal shooting

Three people were shot, one fatally on the city's West Side early Saturday

One person killed and two others injured in a shooting in Chicago, Illinois on August 17, 2024. At approximately 4:40 a.m., Saturday morning on the 4700 Block of West Polk Street, a 53-year-old male, and a 41-year-old female were outside when they heard gunshots and then felt pain. The 53-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound to his abdomen and was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The 41-year-old female victim sustained a gunshot wound to her right ankle and was transported to the hospital, where she is listed in good condition. A 33-year-old male victim sustained a gunshot wound to his right foot and self-transported to the hospital, where he is listed in good condition. No suspects are in custody.

28-year-old male victim shot numerous times and killed in Chicago, Illinois on August 17, 2024. Saturday morning, at approximately 12:29 a.m., on the 4500 block of S. Champlain Avenue, a witness said that a 28-year-old male was on the sidewalk when an unknown suspect began shooting in the direction of the victim striking him several times about the body. The suspect proceeded to flee the scene. The victim was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. No suspects are in custody. Numerous shell casings were found on the scene.
