At approximately 2:40 p.m., Friday afternoon on the 2800 block of W. 25th Pl., a 55-year-old male victim was near the sidewalk when he was approached by an unknown suspect who showed a handgun and fired shots. The victim was struck in the groin area and was transported to the hospital and is listed in serious condition. There are no suspects in custody.
