A former Vernon Hills soccer coach accused of sexually assaulting students is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday. Police say at least seven current and former students have come forward with sexual assault allegations against the soccer coach. Police are asking anyone else with information to come forward as well.
A 17-year-old boy was charged with possession of a weapon and ammunition Wednesday after threatening to bring a weapon to a school in the Lake View neighborhood on the North Side.
