A guest at the Conrad Hotel off the Magnificent Mile was robbed by a man and woman armed with mace Thursday morning, Chicago police said. At about 1:30 a.m., the hotel guest, a 47-year-old man, got a knock at his door inside the Conrad Hotel in the first block of East Erie Street. Then two people, a man and a woman, robbed him, police said.

A 23-year-old man was shot Wednesday afternoon as he sat in a car in the Chatham neighborhood. The man was in the car about 12:20 p.m. when another male walked up to him in the 7600 block of South Champlain and fired shots, Chicago Police said.
A 62-year-old woman was killed in a Tuesday morning crash in north suburban Waukegan. The crash was reported about 9:15 a.m. at Pulaski Drive and Waukegan Road, according to Waukegan police.
Chicago police have taken someone into custody after an intense search at a school on the West Side. Officers were seen running around Andrew Jackson Language Academy on West Harrison Street. They had their flashlights looking into halls and classrooms just before 3:30 a.m. Wednesday.

A 13-year-old boy was charged with a felony after making violent threats last month against his middle school in northwest suburban Woodstock. On Feb. 21, the boy made the threat against Northwood Middle School, 2121 N. Seminary Ave., while talking to other students at a bus stop, according to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office. The following day, deputies were made aware of the threat.
Police are searching for a man who posed as a security officer while committing a pair of recent armed robberies in the Gage Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side. The first armed robbery happened about 11:45 p.m. Feb. 14 in the 5200 block of South Artesian, while the other incident happened about 4:25 a.m. March 5 in the 3100 block of West 53rd Street, according to an alert from Chicago Police.

The 70-year-old man was on the Blue line train platform when an unknown male approached and asked to see the man’s ID, claiming to be an undercover police officer at 2:57 a.m. in the first block of S. Dearborn, Chicago Police said.
Detectives are questioning a person of interest after shots were fired at a Target parking lot in the South Loop. Police said two men exited a dark colored SUV and started shooting at a dark colored sedan in the parking garage at the Target on the 1100 block of South Clark Street

A delivery driver was struck in the head with a hammer during a robbery Monday night in the Albany Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side. The 32-year-old man was making a delivery when a female struck him in the forehead with the hammer and a male she was with demanded his money about 9:39 p.m. in the 4200 block of N. Bernard, Chicago Police said.
Police are searching for a man wanted in a brutal home invasion in the city’s Lakeview neighborhood. Police said the suspect stole a Ventra card on Feb. 25 when he broke into a home in the 900 block of West George Street and tied up the person inside.

A hit and run driver caused a crash after running red light early Monday in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side. The driver was traveling southbound in a black Cadillac when they ran the red light and struck a Hyundai Sonata about 12:57 a.m. in the 10700 block of South Wentworth Ave., Chicago Police said.
Chicago police have issued a warning after a woman told police she was groped on a CTA Blue Line train Sunday night. The 25-year-old woman told police she was riding on the Blue Line train at about 11:52 p.m. between Irving Park and Addison. She was just about to exit, but an unknown man sat behind her and began to grope her, touching her around her hips and buttocks, she told police.
