Police are investigating a home invasion in Shiloh Illinois that happened on Monday, June 2. The incident happened around 1:30a.m. on Blue Spruce Court and Mahogany Lane. According to police, the suspect entered the home without permission pointed a gun at the couple and demanded money.
Two people were killed in a crash involving a wrong-way driver on I-57 in Country Club Hills Sunday night, Illinois State Police said. The crash occurred in the northbound lanes of I-57 at 183rd Street at about 9:21 p.m., police said. A vehicle was traveling southbound and struck a vehicle going northbound. The 32-year-old was standing on a sidewalk about 11:05 p.m. in the 6200 block of South Vernon Avenue when someone approached him and fired shots. The man was hit in his leg, and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where his condition stabilized, police said.
