A 32-year-old woman has been charged with sexually assaulting a 6-year-old girl in Chicago’s Marquette Park neighborhood. Latoya Frost was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Saturday in the6900 block of South Western. Police say the assault on the 6-year-old happened earlier that day in 7100 block of South Artesian.
Police are searching for at least two suspects after a woman was carjacked at gunpoint in Skokie. A woman told police, two men confronted her just before 6:55 p.m. Sunday as she parked her Mercedes near Skokie Boulevard.

A man was shot to death Sunday afternoon in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side, police said. Demond Larry, 21, was shot when someone he knew entered the home he was in, argued with him and then shot him in the chest at 12:07 p.m. in the 7300 block of South Bell, according to Chicago Police.

A 47 year old man was shot and killed as he sat in his car outside a Humboldt Park taqueria. Relatives identified the victim as Mauricio Rivera. His wife was inside the restaurant ordering food at the time of the shooting. Restaurant workers told reporters Rivera was a long-time customer of Taqueria Super Burrito in the 15 hundred block of North Western.
A 12-year-old girl was sexually assaulted last year after leaving a convenience store in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side. Sometime between Sept. 24 and Oct. 7, the girl was leaving the store about 4 p.m. when a masked male grabbed her from behind and pulled her into an alley in the 700 block of North Lawndale Avenue, according to an alert from Chicago Police.
