Last fall, 35-year-old Sanchez Lackland and others had the drug analogue shipped through the mail to roughly 19 addresses in the Chicago area, according to an indictment returned Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Chicago.

A 23-year-old man was shot Wednesday afternoon as he sat in a car in the Chatham neighborhood. The man was in the car about 12:20 p.m. when another male walked up to him in the 7600 block of South Champlain and fired shots, Chicago Police said.
A 62-year-old woman was killed in a Tuesday morning crash in north suburban Waukegan. The crash was reported about 9:15 a.m. at Pulaski Drive and Waukegan Road, according to Waukegan police.

A 13-year-old boy was charged with a felony after making violent threats last month against his middle school in northwest suburban Woodstock. On Feb. 21, the boy made the threat against Northwood Middle School, 2121 N. Seminary Ave., while talking to other students at a bus stop, according to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office. The following day, deputies were made aware of the threat.
